Northwest Administrators, Inc. is a third-party administrator for employee benefit trusts. We have been providing employee benefit plan administration and benefit claim processing services to clients throughout the western United States since 1958. We are seeking a dependable, flexible, numbers-oriented individual to fill a full-time, entry level Compliance Auditor position in our Pasadena office.
Compliance Auditors receive dedicated on-the-job training for the first 4-6 months of employment while working on in-house employer audits. Upon successful completion of training, Auditors may be asked to perform field audits, which require travel to an employer's place of business to audit payroll records and ensure that contributions have been correctly remitted to a pension or health and welfare fund on behalf of eligible employees. Analysis and data entry constitute a significant portion of the daily assignments and require the Auditor to determine best practices for completion of their work.
Duties consist of reviewing and analyzing payroll records and other governmental reports to ensure reporting compliance with written agreements or contracts. The Auditors document errors and omissions in reporting contributions using proprietary audit software; effectively analyze and communicate audit results to employers; and write a summary report for each audit.
The amount of time spent in the field auditing employer records will depend on the location and availability of the records needed from clients and will fluctuate depending on the assignment. When you are not in the field, you will be in the office preparing final audit results, writing reports, and preparing for future audits. An Auditor must be able to schedule audits with contributing organizations in a timely manner and conduct them expeditiously while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the audit process.
The starting salary is $3,150 per month with performance reviews and potential wage adjustments, based on performance, at regular intervals for the first 24 months of employment and annually thereafter.
